Last week: Tiger Woods won the Accenture Match Play Championship for his fifth straight victory and 15th World Golf Championships win, beating Stewart Cink 8 and 7 in 36-hole final at Dove Mountain. Woods, the holder of all three WGC titles, passed Arnold Palmer for fourth place on the PGA Tour victory list with 63. … Brian Gay won the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico for his first PGA Tour title, beating Steve Marino by 2 strokes. Gay was making his 293rd tour start.

She won eight times last year and earned a tour-record $4,364,994. … Annika Sorenstam won the season-opening SBS Open at Turtle Bay for her 70th LPGA Tour title and first since September 2006. She finished fourth Sunday in the Fields Open.
