Register for short spring classes now
Registration for spring credit classes starting Feb. 11 and March 10 is under way now at Elgin Community College.
Classes beginning the week of Feb. 11 are 12 weeks long. Classes starting, March 10 are eight weeks long. Registration will continue until the start of those classes.
The 12- and eight-week classes provide more flexibility for those who wish to take classes but are unable to attend a full 16-week session.
New and continuing ECC students with an ECC identification number can register online at www.elgin.edu/accessecc. Those who prefer to register in person may do so at the Registration Center at the Main Campus, located on the first floor of the Student Resource Center in Room 165, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.
The Registration Center is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays. To get the best selection of courses and times, early registration is advised.
Continuing students may register for any course as long as its prerequisites and/or placement procedures are met and space for effective instruction is available. Students will be expected to provide proof of having met course prerequisites, if documentation is not already on file with the ECC Records Office. Students with outstanding financial obligations to the college may not be able to register until all bills are settled.
Students attending college for the first time are encouraged to meet with a counselor to discuss course selection. For an appointment, contact the ECC Counseling Office at (847) 214-7390.
To complete the enrollment process and avoid being dropped from classes, arrangements for payment must be made no later than the next calendar day by 7 p.m.
For more information about 12- and eight-week fall credit classes, contact the ECC Admissions Office at (847) 214-7385 or admissions@elgin.edu.
