Testing brouhaha about 'special' deals

On the front page recently, a headline read, "District willing to snub the law." It was about District 93 being against giving certain tests to kids still learning English. How about that?

The article continued with, "The boycott by Carol Stream Elementary District 93 would be an act of civil disobedience against the state's decision to force English learners to take the same tests as their fluent peers."

Enough of special "everything" for lazy people, legal or not! Then possibly, by the time they are of voting age, they will not need help in understanding our ballot.

That would save many dollars on the voter assistance now mandated to help people who can't read and write English. How did they ever manage to secure citizenship and a voter card if they can't speak English?
