• Melissa Kremholz, Arlington Heights, and Alexander Sabatka and Erik Zipper, both of Rolling Meadows, all students at Purdue University, were selected for membership in the 2007 Purdue "All-American" Marching Band.
• Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, announced the following students received bachelor's degrees Aug. 11 at the end of the summer session.
Arlington Heights: Krystyna M. Krupiarz, family social services; and Kenneth Reid Lowe, English.
Rolling Meadows: Michael Thomas Noe, geology, environmental geosciences.
• Kelsey Carmichael a student at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, joined Alpha Lambda Delta honor society. To be eligible, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Carmichael, a graduate of Prospect High School, was also a freshmen starter for the WMU soccer team.
• Margaret True Darr of Rolling Meadows, a student majoring in business administration at Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo., was named to the fall 2007 President's List for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
• David Cutler, son of Cy and Miriam Cutler of Arlington Heights, was named to the spring 2007 dean's list at Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences in New York. To qualify, he attained a minimum grade point average of 3.7.
