Soccer clubs will have several sign next week

A number of area club soccer teams are going to see several of their players sign with colleges next week when players can sign their National Letters of Intent starting Feb. 6

From the Eclipse Select Soccer Club, Sarah Sroka (Geneva High School) will be signing her letter of intent to play soccer with Northwestern University.

Club teammate Katie Doyle (St. Charles East) also will go to Northwestern. Also from the Eclipse, Batavia's Julie Ewing and Naperville Central's Lauren Levitt will be heading to the University of Illinois, St. Charles North's Jamie Forbes will be signing with Miami of Ohio, and Geneva's Brianna Santacaterina will be signing with DePaul.

The Strikers Fox Valley U18 girls team also have several players who will play in college, including Mary Wandolowski (Batavia) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Kara Nitti (St. Charles East) at Arkansas State University, Kai Gear (Batavia) at Arkansas State University and Ellen Bartindale (St. Charles East) at Notre Dame.
