It's time for a new political party

Why do we continue to have a two-party system with only Republicans and Democrats actually considered for election? After decades of this government that does not represent the American public. We continue to elect and re-elect those same officials whose only concern is themselves, money and power. They continue to be re-elected 90 percent of the time, statistically.

Why can't we at least organize another party of electable idealists who will really, truly want to serve all the people, really solve our social and economic problems, and consequently drive out a corrupt two-party system? How about one that will stop the foolish lobbying, bribing, pardoning, overspending, overtaxing, junkets, wars, lying and that circus that they call campaigning? Isn't this what our forefathers really wanted and what we still want? Are we Americans so lazy or so stupid as to let this charade continue ad infinitum?

What we must do first is to find an honest, courageous, dedicated leader, knowledgeable, willing and able to do what must be done. Are you out there? We haven't seen you yet, but we know you're out there. Speak up -- because the country and I have been waiting for you.
