Aurora man charged with theft from Naperville business

A 22-year-old Aurora man was charged with theft and criminal trespass after allegedly stealing copper wire from a business in an unincorporated area near Naperville, authorities said Wednesday.

Phillip M. Enoch, of 2303 Twilight Drive, was arrested early Tuesday morning, according to the DuPage sheriff's office, and was being held Wednesday in the county jail on a $25,000 bond.

Acting on a tip, sheriff's deputies said they checked with Meade Electric, 30W751 N. Aurora Road, to confirm wire had been taken from a secured yard outside the business.

Detectives went to Enoch's residence, but he was not home. They located him a short time later and charged him with one count of felony theft and misdemeanor criminal trespass to property.

His next court date scheduled for March 24.
