Kobe, Gasol lead Lakers over Magic

Kobe Bryant had 36 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, and Pau Gasol scored 30 points, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a wild 117-113 victory over the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
Derek Fisher added 14 points and 7 assists for the Lakers, who gave up a season-high 44 points in the first quarter, but had enough defense at the end to win.
Dwight Howard led the Magic with 19 points and 11 rebounds, but played only 29 minutes because of foul trouble. Jameer Nelson added 17 points and 9 assists for the Magic, who had seven players score in double figures, but couldn't contain Bryant and Gasol.
