Akorn signs deal for eye solution

BUFFALO GROVE -- Akorn Inc. said Thursday it signed a five-year manufacturing and supply agreement with a major U.S. pharmaceutical company. Akorn will be responsible for the manufacturing and supply of the ophthalmic drug product, which will be made in Somerset, N.J. Akorn expects to launch this product by mid-year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
