Workers evacuated from Batavia business

• Workers were evacuated from a brake shoe factory at 880 Kingsland Drive Friday night after a dust collector on the outside of the factory caught on fire, firefighters said. Smoke backed up into the factory during the fire. One firefighter was burned on one of his wrists in the blaze. No one else was hurt. The damage was minimal and confined to the dust collector. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 8:37 p.m. and had finished extinguishing the blaze by 10:30 p.m.
