How much longer for vacant corner?

I just wanted to know if anyone can explain to me the circumstances surrounding the northeast corner of Golf and Arlington Heights roads?

I moved to Arlington Heights eight years ago and that corner stood with a shell of what used to be a gas station and it still sits there today the same as eight years ago with a sign on it to call Captain Nemo's if interested .

It is a very bad looking eyesore if it belongs to Captain Nemo's why can we not have them clean it up tear down the gas station? As a resident of Arlington Heights and a neighbor I would like a answer as to if this will ever go away I have looked at it for eight years I wonder how long it has really been sitting there like that ?
