Right decision on school consolidation

I want to commend the Benjamin School District 25 for not wanting to consolidate with other local elementary school districts and Community High School District 94. They are all fine districts and schools, but at this time there is no educational benefit for District 25 to consolidate.

The children who attend Evergreen Elementary and Benjamin Middle School are excelling in statewide test scores and attendance rates exceed state averages. The district is already collaborating with District 94 on curriculum, the transition from eighth grade to high school and other areas.

The size of Benjamin School District 25 is excellent for the educational advancement of our children and the administration and faculty are professional, compassionate and experienced. The proof is the quality educational experience District 25 students receive that prepares them for the high standards of Community High School and beyond.
