Let's the profiteers bail out taxpayers

Here's a novel idea.

Why not have the big oil companies and other conglomerates that have gouged the American public and made huge profits step up to the plate and throw in a few billion dollars of the money they obtained from the taxpaying citizens?

Perhaps that gesture would help this bailout be a little more palatable to the general public.

I don't know, I just think what is going on for the past eight years is unconscionable and those who profited should as I say, "step up."
