Tollway lane closures

Off-peak northbound lane closures on the Tri-State Tollway from Half Day road to Stearns School Road will begin this morning. One northbound lane between Buckley Road and Stearns School Road will be closed from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. One northbound lane between Half Day Road and Route 60 will close at 8 p.m. The lane will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Dist. 125 committee meets

The Stevenson High School District 125 board's site and facilities committee will meet tonight to discuss summer construction projects and other issues. Site planning and an auditorium project also are on the agenda. The meeting is set for 6 p.m. in the district administration center at the school, which is on Route 22 west of Milwaukee Avenue in Lincolnshire.

MainStreet fundraiser

Mundelein MainStreet will hold its annual awards banquet and fundraiser at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 at Gale Street Inn, 935 Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein. There will be a buffet dinner, cash bar, raffles and special presentations. Tickets are $35 a person. To make reservations, call (847) 970-9235.

Get a caricature made

Local caricature artist Abel Aguilar will draw caricature portraits for customers as part of the Valentine's Day Art Sale on Wednesday and Thursday at the College of Lake County ARTcetera Gallery. Aguilar, a CLC graduate, will draw caricatures from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in ARTcetera on both days. Black and white portraits cost $10 and take about five minutes. Color portraits are $15 and take about 10 minutes to complete. ARTcetera is located adjacent to the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art in the Library/Learning Resource Center, 19351 W. Washington St. in Grayslake.
