Scholarships available for District 25 student achievers

Graduating high school seniors who have attended one or more Arlington Heights District 25 schools for at least three years are invited to apply for one of the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs Academic or Achievement Scholarships.

Academic scholarships are available to students who have maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale, and Achievement Scholarships are available to students with an active Individualized Education Program who have maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale.

The criteria set by the Scholarship Committee endeavors to recognize personal and academic achievement of students. Winners will be selected based on school and community involvement, paid and volunteer work experience, motivation and academic standing.

Since its inception in 1974, the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs Scholarship Fund has awarded more than 275 scholarships to graduating high school seniors, with the total dollar amount exceeding $290,000. Completed applications are due no later than March 1 to be considered.

Applications are available at the following high schools: Buffalo Grove, John Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, St. Viator and at all of the District 25 schools.
