Borders Workshop: Learn how to make attractive borders to add to scrap book pages from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and Feb. 20 at Millburn West School, 640 Freedom Way, Lindenhurst. This workshop will provide ideas and supplies to make borders to enhance an album project. Participants will be able to take borders home after the workshop. Refreshments, tools, and supplies will be available. This class is for ages 18 and over. The cost is $22 for residents, $28 for nonresidents. Sign up at the Lindenhurst Park District

Spring Kindergarten Soccer: A special Kindergarten registration for children who missed the May registration deadline will take place during January for the Spring 2008 season. Children must currently be enrolled in kindergarten. The registration fee will be $60 plus the cost of a uniform, and will take place at the Lindenhurst Park District office.

Little Chefs: Then children ages 3 to 5 bring to this class where they will measure, mix, and do a little baking to create simple and age-appropriate treats from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 4 to March 3, (no class Feb. 18). Participants will take home two new recipe cards each week. The cost of this class is $45 for residents, $52 for nonresidents.

Valentine's Pajama Party: Children ages 4 to 6 will play games, make crafts, sing songs and hear stories from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 8. Children will also make a valentine for someone special. The cost is $18 for residents, $22 for nonresidents.

Daddy Daughter Hollywood Glamour: Daddy Daughter Hollywood Glamour is for girls ages 3 and up with their fathers. Enjoy food, dancing, and a photo to remember the evening. From 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at B.J. Hooper School, 2400 E Sand Lake Road, Lindenhurst. The cost is $40 for residents, $50 for nonresidents per couple, extra daughters are $15 each. Sign up at the Lindenhurst Park District; registration will not be taken at the door.

Girls Softball Skills Camp: Girls can improve their hitting, bunting, base running, pitching, catching, throwing, defense and situation play skills before your softball season starts. Classes are offered from 9 a.m. to noon for third through fifth grade and from noon to 3 p.m. for sixth through eighth grade on Feb. 10 at Millburn West, 640 Freedom Way, Lindenhurst. There is a fee of $70 for residents, $80 for nonresidents. Sign up at the Lindenhurst Park District

Magic Class: Ages 5 to 12 can learn a collection of tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more, from 5:15 to 6:10 p.m. Feb. 12. While the tricks may appear difficult, they are quick to learn and easy to perform. The cost is $17 for residents, $21 for nonresidents.

Valentine's Day Party: Ages 50 and over can celebrate Valentine's Day at noon Feb. 14. Bring a lunch item or dessert, and get in the spirit by wearing red or pink. Register dishes at the registration desk. Participants will play games, eat and laugh. The cost is $4.

Shake Your Sillies Out: Children ages 12 months to 4 years with a parent will dance, play with balls, crawl through tunnels and more from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 28 to April 10 (no class March 27). The cost of this class is $65 for residents, $75 for nonresidents.

Festa Italiana-Rat Pack: The Chicago Rat Pack recreates performances of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin. Hosted by Frank Pizani, the Festa Italiana will remind participants of Las Vegas during the '60s, when the Rat Pack was in their prime. Participants will get a glass of complimentary wine, minestrone soup, pizza bread, steak parmigiana, pasta marinara, Italian-style green beans, spumoni for dessert and a beverage. This trip is for ages 50 and over, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 6. The cost is $48 for residents, $56 for nonresidents.

Freestyle Motocross Trip: Freestyle Motocross, owned by Live Nation, the leading freestyle motocross tour in the world, features athletes performing aerial acrobatics while clearing 70-foot gaps and climbing up to three stories high on off-road motorcycles. This trip is for all ages from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. March 29, and includes time to eat dinner at the Bradley Center. The cost is $32 for residents, $38 for nonresidents.

Lindenhurst Youth Soccer: Although the 2007-08 soccer season is already under way, children can still be put on a waiting list for the spring. Registration forms can be picked up and submitted at the Lindenhurst Park District office. Registration for the 2008-09 soccer season will take place during May.

Women's Open Gym: Women's Open Gym is for ages 18 and over from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays. Must show I.D. The cost is $3 for residents, $5 for nonresidents, paid at the door.

Senior Aerobics: Ages 55 and over can keep fit and active with low-impact exercise set to a fitness video from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Senior Room. Registration is not required. The fee is $1 per visit.

Cards and Games: Come play a card game or board games at 1 p.m. Thursdays in the Senior Room. Participants may bring a favorite game if they like. Free for those 55 and over.

Mahjongg: The ancient Asian tile game of mahjongg is played at 9:45 a.m. every Monday in the Senior Room for anyone who is interested. Participants who have a game are asked to bring it in.
