Enjoy some cool jazz at concert

A piano jazz concert, with accompanying drums and bass guitar, will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Countryside Unitarian Universalist Church, 1025 N. Smith Road, Palatine. Free refreshments will be available at 7:30 p.m.

The Rev. Don Beaudreault, minister at Countryside Church, has been playing jazz piano professionally all over the world since the age of 17. He will present "Love Songs For An Autumn Evening" and play several styles, including ragtime, Dixieland and cool jazz.

All proceeds will be donated to the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Endowment Fund. Admission is $20, and will be available at the door or by calling Rem Stokes at (847) 705-0805. For more information, call the church at (847) 359-8440.
