St. Charles swim team impressive

The St. Charles swim team is more than halfway through the season and has been exceeding even the members' own expectations.

At the "Feed the Fire" Meet in Aurora, St. Charles had 13 swimmers perform lifetime bests in every event they swam. They also had four relay teams and 22 individuals take first place, and had two swimmers make Junior Olympic time cuts: Jake Milosch and Austin Muehlschlegel.

Eight swimmers also placed in the top three of the high point finishers for their age groups, resulting in St. Charles finishing with an impressive 3,682.50 points.

Then, this past weekend, St. Charles swam at the Irish Aquatics at the University of Notre Dame. The team's first place finish of 4,461.50 beat out 21 other teams from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. They also won every age group division of the meet: 8 and younger, 9- 10-year-old, 11- 12-year-old, 13- 14- year-old and 15 and older.
