District 214 to hold online auction

District 214 Community Education Foundation will hold an online auction from Feb. 1 through Feb. 5 on eBay.

Items up for auction will include a Blues Brothers Tour of Chicago, the chance to sit on the Arlington Heights Fourth of July Parade reviewing stand, an opportunity to be a "roadie" for the band Hothouse Flowers, the chance to serve as a House Page in the Illinois Legislature and a trip for two to Costa Rica. There are also sports events tickets, spa packages, and gift certificates from area businesses.

All proceeds from the auction benefit the programs of District 214 Community Education.

Limelight Cafe held Saturday

The village of Buffalo Grove Arts Commission has announced "Talkin' About My Generation: Limelight Cafe-All Grown Up!" for talented adults in the community. Musicians, comedians, magicians and others are welcome to perform from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Alcott Center, 530 Bernard Dr. in Buffalo Grove, in partnership with the Buffalo Grove Park District.
