Senior citizen rides a positive addition

Let's treat our seniors as they deserve.

As a psychologist, I am very familiar with the impact that financial struggles have on peoples' lives. The inability to afford transportation or the inability to "get around" has many undesirable outcomes for seniors.

While the General Assembly's collective efforts last week to address the transit funding crisis deserves praise, the governor's proposal to allow seniors to ride for free is even more deserving of praise. Our culture often doesn't always treat seniors as they deserve to be treated. The passage of this proposal could make a positive difference in so many lives.
