Gallagher & Co. acquires Avreco

ITASCA -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Thursday it acquired Chicago-based Avreco from The Park Group Inc. The transaction closed Monday and terms were not disclosed. Founded in 1962, Itasca-based Avreco is a managing general agent and wholesale insurance broker providing insurance products for independent insurance agents and brokers nationwide. It will continue to operate from its locations in Chicago and San Diego.
