Hats off to officer who gave assistance

To the editor: We would like to thank officer Todd Gross of the Arlington Heights police force.

On Thursday, our car conked out by Portillo's on Dundee Road. Officer Gross came to see if the 80-year-olds in the car were all right. He helped push our car out of traffic, and tried to help us start the car also.

He was really concerned about us old people. This is what you call a mensch.
