Lincolnshire Prairie-View School District 103

Kindergarten registration: Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103 will offer parents the opportunity to register their children for kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 15 at Sprague School. The school is at 2425 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire.

Children who are 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 may be registered. Parents or guardians will need to bring the child's original birth certificate or passport -- a photocopy of the birth certificate and/or a hospital certification of birth cannot be accepted -- and proof of residency such as a drivers license or utility bill.

Forms for required medical and dental examinations will be available at registration, and they must be completed and returned one week prior to the first day of the 2008-09 school year.

More information about District 103's full-day kindergarten pilot program and the potential expansion of that program will be presented at a board workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Daniel Wright Junior High School, 1370 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. No advance registrations are required to attend this workshop.
