Gay agenda seeks to silence critics
I read, with great fascination, the Fence Post letter from Roger Fraser condemning all those who hold traditional values regarding homosexual behavior as hateful bigots who should be ashamed of themselves.
Perhaps the most disturbing thing about his position is is it expects Christians, Muslims and Orthodox Jews to simply abandon the Biblical value system in favor of a brand new value system invented by gay activists.
The arrogance of his expectation is astonishing.
Make no mistake: Gay activists are working overtime to see that those who fail to abandon their Biblical values are silenced and punished by the law.
Am I exaggerating? Consider just a few real life examples:
• Congressional supporters have already admitted that, if hate crimes becomes law, a clergyman who preaches a Biblical sermon on homosexuality could be prosecuted if a listener were to subsequently commit a crime against a homosexual - regardless of the fact that the clergyman in no way advocated violence.
• After over 100 years of finding homes for adoptive children, Catholic Charities of Boston was forced to close simply because it would not agree to place children with homosexual couples.
• Beginning in 2008, a new anti-discrimination law forces all California public schools to teach children as young as kindergarten that homosexual behavior is normal. Christian and Muslim teachers who cannot comply with the law can apparently quit or be fired.
Homosexual activists have somehow managed to convince large numbers of Americans that achieving equality for them legitimizes the destruction of freedom of conscience, free speech and religion for others.
