Kids can take a break from cancer with night out
Good Shepherd Hospital's Kids' Night Out is open to all children or teens dealing with a cancer diagnosis of a parent, grandparent, relative or friend.
The purpose of Kids' Night Out is to relax, have fun, have a snack and, most importantly, take a vacation from cancer.
The Kids' Night Out group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
Joining Mary Sue Fidale, RNC, MA, LCPC in her efforts are two individuals with years of knowledge and expertise.
Grace Martinez has 30 years experience in the Dundee School District working with toddlers to teens.She has a master of arts degree in special education and bilingual, and provides many projects and activities for the kids.
Nancy Lajka is an assistant teacher at Tutor Time Learning Center in Lake Zurich. She comes equipped with crafts and games for the kids to participate in such as learning how to hula and jewelry making.
