Makray meeting a proud moment

To the editor: Although we are all extremely concerned about the proposed changes by Canadian National to the EJ&E tracks running through our communities, what a proud, positive moment we all shared recently as everyone poured into Makray to make our voices heard.

Thanks to Chief Jeff Lawler and all of the Public Safety team who had to be overwhelmed by the crowds and traffic but who make fast, smart decisions to help us all cope with parking and congestion.

And thanks to our village president and trustees for keeping us informed and for fighting the good fight!
