Hoffman loses twice in Rockford

The Hoffman Estates boys basketball team finished its engagement in the Rockton Hononegah Invitational with a pair of losses on Monday.

In the first game, the Hawks dropped a 49œ38 decision to Neuqua Valley. Kamil Long scored a game-high 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Steve Anderson was the leading rebounder with 6 for Hoffman Estates.

In the second game, the Hawks dropped a heartbreaking 49-48 decision to Normal West. Luke Mead scored a game-high 19 points and had four 3-pointers. Mead also had 5 assists for the Hawks, whose four losses at Hononegah dropped them to 11-9 overall. They stand 4-2 in Mid-Suburban West play.
