Responsive Lauzen earned her support

When I was a Carpentersville trustee, I found a loophole in a very important law that required municipalities to publish an annual treasurer's report in the local paper. This loophole allowed municipalities to publish grossly erroneous reports.

I contacted all of the local state representatives. State Sen. Chris Lauzen was the only one to respond. I was shocked to receive a call at home from a state senator, but soon realized that that is how he represents his constituents. He sponsored a bill to close the loophole and, through his leadership, it passed the Senate unanimously.

Lauzen has proven his worthiness through his efforts and dedication to his constituents. He is one of the rare examples of the type of person I long for in Washington representing us. I know he will continue to represent us as he has done over the last 15 years.

I don't want another representative like Dennis Hastert who never returned one of my phone calls or who would send me form letters that didn't address my concerns.

I hope you will join me in voting for Lauzen and send a man to Washington who will truly be a representative for the people of his district.
