Stop the talk and wait 'til we vote

I realize that newspapers need the excitement of "news" to have a reason to exist, but the constant analysis and handicapping of each candidate for the presidential primaries is exhausting and unseemly for so important a process.

This campaign began the day after the elections of 2006. Is anyone else sick of the whole hoopla like I am?

Could we be treated to more in-depth analysis of the candidates' records and their positions on the serious matters before this nation so that we can make rational choices of who we want to lead us? Can we skip the natterring on about the minor squabbles?

Could we be spared the rush to judgment about who is winning when hardly any of the electorate has had a chance to cast a vote?
