The tragedy of petting zoo fire

It was grievous to read about docile, innocent piglets, lambs, baby goats and chickens being killed in a petting zoo fire. These sentient creatures brought comfort and enjoyment to all the children and others who had an opportunity to interact with them. There is too much animal abuse, neglect and tragedy in this very imperfect world.
