Leadership sets Romney apart
There is one presidential candidate who stands out with a unique combination of intelligence, experience and leadership that will enable him to effectively bring change and fix what's broken in Washington. That candidate is Gov. Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney's remarkable record of achievement includes graduating with honors from the rigorous combined Harvard Law/MBA program while he and his wife, Ann, were raising their boys.
He then entered the business world, first as a consultant, and then founded one of the country's most successful venture capital firms where he helped launch hundreds of successful companies and earned a reputation as an expert in turning around failing businesses.
With the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games mired in scandal and facing a $379 million deficit, the organizers turned to Mitt Romney to use his exceptional leadership and business skills to rescue the games from certain collapse. He turned that $379 million deficit into a surplus of $56 million, and just five months after the attacks of Sept. 11, the games went on, and the world witnessed America's incredible strength and resiliency.
Elected governor of Massachusetts in 2002, Mitt Romney erased a $3 billion deficit without raising taxes or increasing debt and balanced the budget every year by eliminating waste, streamlining government and enacting comprehensive economic reforms.
America needs the can-do attitude and experienced leadership of Mitt Romney. He has an optimistic outlook for America and believes that the source of our nation's great strength comes from the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit of the American people, not government.
By holding the line on spending, keeping taxes low, maintaining a strong military and bringing innovation and vision to Washington, as president, Mitt Romney will safeguard America and ensure that we continue to be the most free and prosperous nation in the world.
