Jolly old Santa should be jolly
Why is it such a big deal that Santa is big and jolly?
We all know that America is the most obese country in the world. But, they don't have to go around changing Santa's image just because we are big. It's ridiculous to change Santa's image because a few people find it offensive.
Remember the story of Santa in "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" in that Santa is skinny most of the year until Mrs. Claus fattens Santa up for Christmas. According to another story, Santa is fat because he has to eat all the cookies and milk at every house. If they change Santa to "skinny Santa," what will we set out for Santa now? Broccoli, asparagus, tofu? I hope it doesn't come to this. Will holiday cookies become holiday tofu?
