Courtesy says don't smoke near others
I feel so sorry, Mr. S.H., Lake Barrington, that you feel like such a poor soul when it comes to obeying the new smoking laws.
I feel even more sorry that so many insensitive people did not care about the comfort and health of other people. So what happened?
Big government stepped in. I don't like to see that either. Those suffering from lung cancer I'm sure would be glad that they did step in.
To me it's such a no-brainer to not start burning leaves and paper where people are eating.
I doubt if you or any of your family members or guests smoke at your dinner table at home. You stated that before the new laws, us non-smokers should have picked another restaurant. Why? Because you want to smoke? You must be kidding.
There are two more annoyances that top my list. Using vulgar language in front of women and children, and old men like myself, is totally reprehensible.
Crazy drivers are also on my list of imbeciles. Driving the expressways is like driving in the Daytona 500. I don't know what everyone's rush is.
Use your heads, folks, and be considerate. We have a great country. Let's keep it that way.
