Daley looking for other mayors to support Olympics bid
Chicago Mayor Richard Daley is looking for help.
He wants other mayors from around the country to help bring the 2016 Summer Olympics to Chicago.
Daley made the pitch during Thursday's visit to Washington for the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting.
In a statement he says the games would represent the entire county. Daley also says they would create new jobs for not only Chicagoans but people around the country.
Chicago is one of seven cities bidding for the Olympics. The others include Tokyo and Madrid.
The International Olympic Committee will whittle the seven applicant cities in June and select the host city in October 2009.
