No injuries in Arlington Hts. fire

No one was injured in an Arlington Heights house fire that broke out late Friday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 5 p.m. Friday on the 2300 block of Michael Manor Lane. A woman and children got out safely and firefighters rescued a dog trapped inside, fire officials said.

The fire was confined to an upstairs bedroom, where it began. The home is not habitable and damage is estimated at $20,000. The cause is under investigation, fire officials said. The Prospect Heights Fire Department also responded.
