Woman charged for stabbing her infant, then 2 others on city bus
A judge has denied bail for a 29-year-old Chicago woman who allegedly used a scissors to stab her own 11-month-old girl before boarding a city bus and stabbing another woman and her 3-year-old daughter.
Nancy F. Laroche faces attempted murder and four counts of felony aggravated battery.
Police allege Laroche stabbed her daughter about 7 a.m. Wednesday and left her at her home on Chicago's South Side. Then she got on a Chicago Transit Authority bus and allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old woman and her 3-year-old.
All three victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Laroche's attorney Patrick White said Laroche suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Authorities say CTA surveillance cameras captured the attacks on tape.
