Elgin teacher still in hospital after stabbing
An Elgin High School teacher was listed in stable condition Saturday at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago after being stabbed by a 16-year-old male student.
Carolyn Gilbert, 50, suffered multiple knife wounds Friday morning.
The teenager has been charged with aggravated battery with a weapon and aggravated battery to a teacher.
