Thanks, Batavia, for supporting schools

I agree with having the addition being put on Batavia High School within the next three years. I am proud of the city of Batavia in passing the referendum for the addition.

I have been at BHS for four years, and even though they will be very memorable, there are things within the building that had to be changed. The hallways are so crowded, because of the vast majority of students. The classrooms are being shared with multiple teachers, and the classes are overcrowded. We don't have the proper facilities for concerts and musicals.

We (Batavia) have been the butt of everyone's jokes for way too long, because we don't have the proper facilities for our extended student body.

I'm proud to be a part of the BHS student body, and even though the Class of 2008 won't be here to appreciate all the hard work and effort put into our facility, we still are grateful for the change.
