Murder trial gets closer

After six days of jury selection, lawyers had eight jurors tapped late Thursday for the DuPage County trial of a Naperville man accused of killing his parents, sister and brother-in-law. The legal teams return today to continue questioning jurors in the death penalty case. They still need four more jurors and four alternates. Eric C. Hanson, 31, is charged with killing his family in September 2005 in Aurora and Naperville after they learned he allegedly stole more than $80,000 from his parents in forged checks and credit cards. Opening statements may begin late next week.
