Thanks for support of Cup of Cheer

On behalf of the Naperville Garden Club I would like to thank all the participants of the club's 48th Cup of Cheer House Walk and Holiday Market. More than 1,200 area residents attended this annual event and a great time was had by all.

The Cup of Cheer is the club's major fundraiser that showcases Naperville area homes and returns money to the community in the form of scholarships to area students and beautification projects around the city.

We thank this year's homeowners and their families for graciously opening their homes to the community. A huge note of appreciation goes to the National City bank branches and area retailers, who helped sell the Cup of Cheer tickets. We thank our club members for, once again, honoring the tradition of this event while working to preserve its presence in the fabric of our city.

Most of all, we thank the attendees who chose to celebrate the holidays by attending the Cup of Cheer. We know that there are many options this holiday season for how to spend your time and money. You have honored us by choosing the Cup of Cheer and the Naperville Garden Club.

If you were unable to attend this year, then consider joining us on Dec. 2 or 3, 2010. We plan to close out the half century mark of this premiere housewalk with a review of the last decade of cups. Don't miss this chance to complete or begin your Cup of Cheer china collection.
