Eating disorder agency in need of volunteers
The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders is seeking volunteers for a variety of assignments.
Headquartered in Highland Park, ANAD is the nation's oldest and largest not-for-profit agency dedicated to alleviating the problems of eating disorders.
ANAD is seeking volunteers to staff the agency's telephone hot line and e-mail referral service, linking sufferers to support groups, physicians, therapists, nutritionists and inpatient and outpatient programs specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Full training is provided for these opportunities.
In addition, ANAD is seeking volunteers to assist with advocacy efforts, the Internet Guardian program, special events and fundraising activities.
To volunteer, contact Soraya Perales at the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, (847) 433-3996. To learn more about the programs and services of ANAD, visit www.anad.org.
