Losing appetite for spending

As I read that unemployment in Illinois rose to 11 percent, I couldn't help but think back to the early '80s Wendy's hamburger commercials where the little old lady yelled, "Where's the beef?" after getting a burger which certainly wasn't what was promised.

To the current government I say: "Where's the stimulus?" All these billions with a trillion more to follow if their health care proceeds, certainly should make us all lose our appetite for spending what we don't have. We will all soon learn why there truly is no such thing as a "free meal."
