Church says thanks for shoe donations

St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 31 Park Ave., Grayslake, recently held its 4th Annual Shoe Event, part of the Church's community outreach ministry called Elijah's Mantle. During this event, free brand new shoes were given away to needy school-age children in Lake County.

Thanks to the outstanding generosity and donations from church members and from the local communities, the Church was able to fit 127 children from 49 families with new shoes to begin the school year. We truly appreciate the donations from the community and thank you for your willingness to help with this worthwhile cause.
