Police: female Boy Scout leader had sex with boy

BELLEVILLE -- St. Clair County authorities say they have charged a female Boy Scout leader with criminal sexual assault and ordered her held on $100,000 bond.

The scout leader, 39-year-old Wendy Rogers of O'Fallon was charged Tuesday.

St. Clair County Sheriff's Capt. Steve Johnson says Rogers and an underage Boy Scout were engaging in sex when the youth's parents surprised them on Sunday.

Johnson says the parents detained Rogers in their son's bedroom until three police officers arrived to arrest her.
