Michigan billboard for missing Illinois woman
An advertising billboard is going up in Michigan in another bid to try and find an Illinois mother missing since 2007.
The billboard featuring a photo of Lisa Stebic is being placed in Michigan's Upper Peninsula where her husband's family had a vacation cabin. Text emblazoned on it says, "Where is Lisa Stebic?" with the words "Someone Knows!" underneath. It also offers a $75,000 reward.
The mother of two was last seen in Plainfield, Ill., in April 2007. Authorities have named Stebic's husband, Craig, a "person of interest" in her disappearance. But he isn't charged with any crime and has denied involvement.
Stebic family spokesmen say they're asking Michigan hunters and snowmobilers to report any sightings of bones or remains to authorities.
