Reliever DJ Carrasco cut loose by White Sox
Reliever D.J. Carrasco was let go by the Chicago White Sox when the club failed to offer him a 2010 contract.
The 32-year-old righty was 5-1 with a 3.76 ERA in 48 relief appearances and one start last season, pitching 93 1-3 innings. His 89 1-3 innings as a reliever led the major leagues.
Carrasco was eligible for arbitration for the first time after making $440,000.
