Prospect High completes Adopt-A-Child gift program
Prospect High School recently completed its annual Adopt-a-Child holiday gift program, sponsored by the school's Service Club.
C.E.D.A. (Community and Economic Development Association) Northwest in Mount Prospect provided the names of 75 needy children from 25 families for the project, which was run through third-hour classes.
According to Service Learning coordinator Dave Jacobson, this year 43 classes choose names, along with the boys basketball program, Student Council, the junior class, food services, the Italian Club, the main office, security staff, and various staff members and alumni.
The collected gifts were delivered to C.E.D.A. Wednesday, Dec. 16, where families will pick up the presents.
"Once again the Prospect family has proven that 'Prospect Pride and Respect' is not just a slogan, but values we live by every day," Jacobson said. "Our students and staff did an amazing job with this project."
