Judson falls in NCCAA semifinal
The Master's College's offensive power in the first half was too much for Judson University's women's soccer team to overcome as the Eagles fell, 4-1, in the NCCAA National Tournament semifinal match in Kissimmee, Fla., on Thursday.
Judson will now play in the third-place place match on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
The Master's College was up 2-0 before Judson (13-7-3) found the net. The Master's scored in the 3rd and 20th minutes before Judson's Christina Thornton cut the lead to one on assists from Ashley Williams and Kamila Marchi . The Master's then added two more goals in the 32nd and 40th minutes for a 4-1 lead.
Judson battled in the second half with three shots on goal but could not get the ball past The Master's goalie. Judson finished with 10 overall shots with six on goal.
Mackenzie Fowler had 4 saves in the loss.
