Wonder Lake man charged in McHenry County boating death

McHenry County authorties have charged a Wonder Lake man in a boat crash that left one person dead and injured another.

Fifty-three-year-old Rick L. McGuire is charged with operating a boat while under the influence of alcohol.

An autopsy from the McHenry County coroner Monday found 21-year-old Nicole Jurgens of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, died of trauma to the chest, abdomen and pelvis after a boat crash on Wonder Lake early Sunday.

Conservation police say they are investigating the crash and reconstructing the scene to find out exactly what happened.

McGuire had three passengers on his boat. Jurgens was on a boat with one other person, who was injured.
