Rolling Meadows woman fights arrest
A Rolling Meadows woman faces multiple charges after police said she was belligerent following her arrest on a complaint that she hadn't paid for her drinks at the Stadium Club, 4015 Algonquin Road.
Jacqueline Doherty, 36, of the 4700 block of Arbor Drive, faces charges of retail theft, resisting arrest, battery and criminal damage to state-supported property. Her bond was set at $5,000 and her next court date is Dec. 23. The manager of the Stadium Club told police that Doherty had run up a tab of $110.88 for alcoholic drinks late on the evening of Dec. 3.
A debit card supplied for payment was denied. When told police were being called, Doherty drove away. Responding officers learned her identity from the debit card and license plate number. When officers attempted to take her into custody at her home, she struggled and refused to be handcuffed, reports said.
In the squad car, she began kicking the rear door windows, and at the station, her kick shattered a door window and bent the frame, reports said. She also kicked the car door into a patrol officer when being removed from the vehicle, police said.
